Introduction

Wynford is a family farm, run by George and Ruth Hogg. It was formed in 2002 by the amalgamation of Millburn and old Wynford farms, we have never used chemicals on the land since then. We have beautiful Organic, pure bred, pedigree, Aberdeen Angus suckler herd of cattle.

Full organic status was gained in April 2005 and we are members of the Premium Cattle Health Scheme and our certification body is SOPA. We have also been audited by Marks and Spencer and are Farm Assured.

Animal welfare is of prime importance to us and we take time to talk to the cattle every day. Through daily observation of the cattle we can see any small changes in their behaviour or condition and the cattle benefit from personal attention.

The farm sits on the western side of Brimmond Hill within Aberdeen City boundary. It is the only Aberdeen Angus Farm within Aberdeen City!

· To improve the fertility of the farm and pass it on in better condition than we received it.
· To encourage biodiversity.
· To sell direct to the end user to eliminate middlemen, get direct feedback from customers and avoid manipulation by supermarkets.
